Franklin Seute – Author & Founder

As the author of Living Rich as a Student in the Netherlands, I’ve drawn from my personal experiences as an international student from Aruba to help others navigate the financial challenges of studying abroad. I moved to the Netherlands in 2015 to study Mechatronics Engineering at Avans University of Applied Sciences. Throughout my studies, I faced various challenges—financial management being one of the most significant. These firsthand experiences inspired me to write Living Rich as a Student in the Netherlands, a practical guide filled with budgeting tips and advice for living frugally while pursuing higher education.

Since 2020, we’ve been hosting budgeting workshops for students in the Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire, equipping students with essential financial literacy skills. Our goal is to expand our reach every year, ensuring that all students—Dutch and international alike—gain the confidence to take control of their finances.
